Dr. PIYUSH GUPTHA MD,FAMS,FIAP,FNNF,FRCPCH is a renowned academician teacher, researcher, author and editor with 40 years' experience in the field of child health care and medical education, research and publishing. Currently he is a principal and professor of pediatrics at University college of medical sciences NEW DELHI INDIA. Dr. Piyush guptha has received national international rewards in the field of child survival, nutrition, medical education and biomedical editing. He is an advisor and policymaker and research to government of India WHO UNICEF PHIFN NCI & ICMR and conferred fellowships by IAP, NNF, NAMS, RCP UK, AAP awarded him he has authored 50 books 450 chapters. His 3volume PG textbook is a well-accepted landmark textbook of pediatrics in India. He served as editor in chief in IAP journal, he is a member of WAME (The World Association of Medical Editors), he received teacher of excellence award by VICE PRESIDENT of India in 2015. In 2022 he was awarded with outstanding Asian pediatrics award. In 2021 IAP National President he conceptualized IAP guidelines on parenteral education and initiated nationwide campaign on nurturing care for early childhood development supported by WHO & UNICEF.

Dr.Piyush Guptha has visited RVM INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES AND RESEARCH CENTRE on 19th March 2024 on the invitation of DEPARTMENT OF PAEDIATRICS and delivered a guest lecture on WHY SHOULD I DO RESEARCH which was interactive session and students won prizes.
